Abstract :
In this paper, the authors presented two SIW layer-to-layer transitions: transitions between adjacent layers and transitions between unadjacent layers. A taper transition between the microstrip line and the SIW is used in these SIW transitions, which can provide broadband characteristics. These SIW transitions between layers take the advantages of low cost, low loss, broadband, low profile, etc., and can easily be integrated into microwave/RF multilayered PCB or LTCC circuits.
