Abstract :
This paper proposes an efficient method for transmitting images, video and multimedia information through the RF wireless channel. Using discrete wavelet transform technique, image pixels are transformed into subbands of coefficients, which is then encoded using the proposed algorithm. This is followed by transmitting the signal using multicode spread spectrum code division multiple access (CDMA) communication system. This technique is used because of its high ability to mitigate fading and resist inter-symbol interference. Preliminary results show the possibility of transmitting multimedia information using multicode modulation.
