  • Abstract
    This paper presents the first successfully applied educational and collaborative project on the preschool level in the history of the Red Escolar program in the Mexican public educative system. This project is directed to all children in preschool level. With it, the children have the opportunity to develop activities according to their level using the computer to enrich and bring an exchange of experiences during a normal day at school. The duration of the project was thirteen weeks, organized in 4 stages of interaction that are supported by an adult coordinator. This project was piloted during the spring of 2004 with 5 public schools that had recently acquired equipment, in 2 different cities of Sinaloa state. A total of 10 teachers and 208 students participate in this first step. This paper presents the conclusions of the pilot program and the problems that arose during its development and implementation
