Abstract :
The traditional development of hardware and software of embedded system is non-synchronous, low efficiency and the design knowledge can not be reused. To solve these problems, a new developing method, Reconfigurable Design Method (RDM) is presented in this paper. In this method, the embedded system architecture is abstracted as a class of product family, in which, the components of embedded system can be modularized, the modules correspond to the different components of the product family. The ontology is employed to represent the concepts and design instances of the embedded system as well. A knowledge system is developed to configure the software and hardware components of the embedded system. The control system of a electronic Universal Testing Machine(UTM) is examplified to verify RDM presented in this paper.
