Abstract :
Commercial applications of optical integrated circuits (OICs) require nearly perfect optical waveguides with low loss, polarization independence, control of the absolute refractive index and control over the optical phase difference between different paths. The silicon optical bench waveguide technology has the potential to meet all of these needs
