Abstract
In this paper two new topologies based in the class E amplifier with high power factor, low current crest factor, high efficiency, high power density, single stage and working with a single switch are presented. These topologies are based also on the modified valley fill technique. In one of the proposed topologies, unity power factor is obtained feeding the class E with two parallel current sources. In the other one, two inductors connected in series with magnetic coupling are used as one current source feed. Zero voltage transitions in the switch are obtained in both topologies
