Abstract :
A UWB planar antenna comprising a slanting slot in the mean of creating notch band characteristic at the overlapping frequency bandwidth between UWB and Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is investigated. The proposed antenna is constructed on a FR-4 substrate. The elliptical and ground plane is allocated on top of the substrate. The characteristics of the proposed antenna are investigated when the slanting slot length, width and slope angle are modified. The optimized parameters for the slot length, width and slope angle are determined. The optimum values are 7.59mm, 0.5 and 7.56 mm respectively.
