Abstract :
In this paper the faults of EHV parallel connection reactor are introduced in brief. Then, the paper proposes a novel protection theory of interturn fault based on equivalent inductance, and sets up the computer protection model based on energy loss function. According to the protection model, this paper simulates the interturn fault, external fault, no-load operation fault etc. with EMTP program, the simulated results display that the protection algorithm is effective.
