Abstract :
A problem of radiation of square spiral antenna placed on an aircraft fuselage is considered. The aircraft is approximated as an elliptic cylinder with trapezoidal wings. The problem is solved by hybrid technique which uses FEM (finite element method) for near-field calculation and UTD (uniform theory of diffraction) for directional pattern and surface currents computation. The imperfect conductance of the fuselage and wings is approximated via impedance boundary conditions
