Abstract :
The synthesis of signals with given time-frequency domain energy distributions has been accomplished using wavelet ridges. The synthesis program has been written in MATLAB. The time-frequency domain specifications of the wavelet ridges of signals are given interactively by the user. The monocomponent and multicomponent signals with sinusoidal, hyperbolic or linear ridges can be obtained. Also, the specific points of the ridges in the time-frequency domain can be given by the user.
