Abstract :
Call admission control (CAC) based on equality of heterogeneous traffic has been developed that reduces total call-blocking rate [1]. However, this CAC is difficult to apply to real networks because each flow may arrive with requested bandwidth blurred. A new method has been developed to apply this CAC to real networks by classifying all flows into two types on the basis of requested bandwidth. The blur of narrowband flow affects the total call-blocking rate. Moreover, this CAC can nearly maximize total user satisfaction by using corrected requested bandwidth of narrowband flows.
