Abstract :
Recently, a sensor network to support a human living by sensing environmental data has been investigated. These systems require accurate information such as a human location and a temperature et al. to estimate a surrounding situation. To obtain an accurate estimation, installation and management costs for the communication system equipped with a sensor network increase since many sensors are used to collect the detailed information. In order to achieve the lower costs, a sensor network system using the ZigBee module with an one-way communication is proposed[1]. In order to evaluate this sensor network system, we proposed a practical human detecting system which collects the human location data by setting pressure sensors on the observation area. In this paper, communication characteristics for humans walking are evaluated.
