Abstract :
The calculation results of wave scattering by internal non-homogeneities in real output CVD-diamond windows of megawatt gyrotrons in the 100 GHz-1000 GHz frequency range is presented. We have verified experimental result that up to 170-200 GHz the scattering is negligible, but above 200 GHz makes an appreciable contribution to absorption. The calculations have shown that near 1 THz the scattering becomes fundamental. For examined scatters geometry ~30-40% of total scattered energy scatters forward (to transmission line) and back (to gyrotron), ~70-60% encloses and absorbs in the disk volume. These results allowed formulating the demands to disk quality according to supposed set-up parameters
