Abstract
The system matrix of TD-FEBI method is composed of the finite element part and the boundary integral part, which leads to a bad-conditioned matrix. Because the matrix equation has to be solved at each time step, the computing burden is very intensive. In this paper, a SSOR preconditioner is developed to accelerate the matrix-solving at each time step. Numerical examples demonstrated that the proposed scheme is efficient to reduce the total solving time significantly.
