Abstract
This paper proposes a fuzzy-timing Petri net method for distributed temperature control to achieve optimum air temperatures inside a car, considering the comfort of each passenger. The optimum HVAC control has been applied to a car air conditioning system, and a fuzzy controller is used to independently control temperatures at various locations inside the car, considering each passenger´s comfort temperature level and the air velocity at each seat. We have conducted experiments and confirmed that our method is useful for distributed temperature control in a car
