Abstract :
In this paper, we address channel estimation in a flat-fading correlated MIMO system employing uniform linear arrays on dual side. When multipath components (MFCs) is sparse in MIMO systems, the channel matrix of MIMO can be parameterized by parameters of MFCs, such as DOA (direction of arrival), DOD (direction of departure) and fading gains on each path. Thus, we design a new channel estimation method via estimating these paths´ parameters. The proposed method can estimate channel with better performance than least-square method without prior information of channel correlation.
