Abstract :
Whether the advantages of OFDM can be made full use of depends to a large extent on the performance of synchronization. After analyzing the received OFDM signal, this paper proposes a new frequency offset estimation method based on time oversampling for OFDM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing). The proposed method is a blind estimation algorithm and also uses a slip window. From the results, it is shown that the accuracy of the proposed algorithm, as well as the resistance to frequency selective fading and noise, is much better than that of the algorithm based on cyclic prefix.
