  • Abstract
    We have explored both the Cr:forsterite and Cr:YAG lasers in terms of their cw power, tuning ranges, and modelocking ability when pumped with a cw 1.06 μm Nd:YAG laser. We will review the overall performance of both of these lasers. We will also discuss the potential use of Cr4+ in other crystal lattices
