Abstract :
Reliability is one of the major index for customers power supply. This fact obligatory should be taken into account when power systems are developed. The power supply disturbances are especially typical for electrical grids located at those climate regions, where the overhead power lines are affected by dangerous meteorological conditions (hoarfrost, snowfall, icing). Our experience shows that icing accidents on overhead power lines are heaviest and it can disorganize power supply of large economic regions. There is a number of measures to prevent and to struggle with icing on overhead power lines - amplification of support, thickening of wires, application of snow-resistant wires coatings, snow- resistant rings, anti-torsional dampers, special icing, dancing and vibration arresters overhead power line wires. The introduction of ice melting methods in a case of financing shortage for transmission line reorganization is one of the major measure for complex prevention and elimination ice accidents of system. In the paper the controlled installation for melting ice construction developed in NIIPT is described. The original method of a power equipment installation cooling is outlined. The thermal performances for installations with sizes of standard transport containers are constructed. The technical parameters of the installation 14/1000 (14 kV, 1000 A) are presented.
