Abstract :
In this paper, an overview of structural conditions and electric performances of meander line antennas is given. In order to examine the usefulness of high εr materials, a very small meander line antenna is designed. It is shown that a meander structure becomes very simple by loading a high εr material. So, the ohmic resistance of an antenna conductor can be reduced sufficiently. As a result, the antenna efficiency can be improved. Antenna electrical characteristics such as antenna impedances, current distribution and radiation patterns are also shown.
