Abstract
In UWB systems, a small group delay variation is desirable because this implies that all frequencies will be delayed by relatively the same amount while passing through the amplifier. The CMOS LNA for UWB communication applications covering frequency band from 3 to 5 GHz based on 0.18 mum CMOS technique is indicated. A low group delay variation is indicated in this work. The group delay variation of the proposed design is about 25 ps according to the simulated results which implies that small distortion of transmit pulses. The communication quality of UWB systems will be improved.
