Abstract :
This paper analyzes the performance of IR-UWB (impulse radio ultra wide-band) with different monocycles in the presence of interference generated by the UMTS/WCDMA systems. The bit error rate is derived for the IR-UWB with n-order derivative Gaussian monocycle in the presence of UMTS/WCDMA interference. The relationship between the anti-UMTS interference ability of IR-UWB and the derivative order of Gaussian monocycle is revealed. Numerical computation results are shown for validating the proposed analysis.
