Abstract
In order to enable ultra-wideband (UWB) spectral mask compatibility and provide simple hardware implementation, novel pulse shaping methods based on orthonormal Hermite functions are proposed to enable the pulses to fulfill given spectral mask. Simulation results show that the proposed method can be used to obtain pulses that fulfill the FCC spectral mask, optimize transmission power spectrum, and realize simple hardware implementation as well.
