Abstract :
In this paper, a CPW-fed monopole-like slot antenna with a T-shaped feeding stub has been proposed for UWB applications. The low cost antenna prototype on FR4 PCB has achieved good performance in terms of good impedance matching, consistent gain, stable radiation patterns, and consistent group delay over operating frequency band of 3.0-14.3 GHz (130.6%) with an overall size of 25 mm x 25 mm x 0.8128 mm. The results in time domain have shown the proposed antenna is suitable for pulse transmission with fidelity of more than 0.9 for specific exciting pulses.
