Abstract :
In this paper, a simple procedure is presented to miniaturize an omnidirectional ultra wideband (UWB) planar antenna using pairs of slots in the radiator and the ground plane. The results presented in this paper show that the proposed method reduces the antenna´s surface area by 50%, with the same bandwidth, efficiency and radiation pattern.
