Abstract :
A new unconditionally-stable FDTD method based on split-step scheme with high-order accuracy and low anisotropy has been presented, in which symmetric operator and uniform splitting are adopted to decompose the Maxwell´s matrix into six sub-matrices, and accordingly, six sub-steps is produced. The dispersion error and the anisotropic error of the proposed method are lower than the ADI-FDTD method, the SS-FDTD (2, 2) method and the SSCN6-FDTD method. Especially, corresponding to a certain cell per wavelength (CPW), there is a Courant number value making the numerical anisotropic error to be zero
