Abstract :
In this paper, a 1/4 turns quadrifilar helix antenna is designed and analyzed by NAKANO equation with MOM. Radiation pattern is given as well as the current distribution on one arm. 3dB beam is wider than 180deg, which proves that the radiation character of the antenna is satisfactory. Then the working condition of the antenna is studied by attaching it to a satellite model. It is seen that after the antenna is borne on the model, its 5dB beam width exceeds 180deg, which shows the design is successful.
