Abstract
In order to control the maintenance process, it is necessary to be able to accurately predict maintenance costs. This paper proposes ways of extending current cost estimation methods to the estimation of maintenance costs, by means of impact analysis, proportional sizing, quality assessment and productivity adjustment. To illustrate the approach, a practical example from the author´s own experience in financial applications is cited
