Abstract
In this paper, we find that the microstrip line with rectangular-notches would improve its radiation efficiency, the leakage constant is enhanced, and the back lobe is suppressed accordingly. By using the finite difference time domain (FDTD) method to simulate this new MLWA, it is found that the length of MLWA could be reduced by 29% with the same back lobe suppression of conventional MLWA.
