Abstract :
Tunable RF photonic filters based on high-Q optical microresonators, both band-stop and band-pass, as well as singlepole and multi-pole, are reviewed. The feasibility of a filter with center frequency tunable from 30 MHz to 3 GHz, and with adjustable bandwidth in the range 10 kHz to 100 MHz is discussed.
