  • Abstract
The laser, as a key technology to compact disc, opened the door to the fascinating digital dream world of consumer electronics where products dramatically enhance attractiveness by the digitalization and the resultant incorporation of computer and network technologies. The author would like to address the technical aspects how the laser technology has evolved with the expanding applications and to express expectation to the progress of laser technologies that will further promote exciting products and services including displays and local communications
