  • Abstract
This paper aims to present the work done to benchmark 802.11 mobile ad hoc NET networks over the CNAM Campus in Paris, France. First this article presents the context of ad hoc networks and the technical choices adopted during this work mainly using OLSR as an ad hoc IP protocol. The context presents the different limitations of ad hoc networks such as IBSS split, grey zones, RTS/CTS mechanisms which this works will try to emphasize. The second part of this article presents the results of the simulations using OPNET Modeler with the ad-hoc IP protocols, those simulations had been done on different sizes of networks. Finally this article puts the stress on the key issues of the experimental set-up results in comparison with the prior simulations done.
