  • Abstract
    We summarise the design and implementation of an ultra-low latency, high throughput Internet protocol (IP) over wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) packet-switched data network for NGI applications, utilizing innovative hardware and software solutions. Optical-label switching (OLS) is the novel method that is used to realize flexible bandwidth-on-demand IP packet transports on a reconfigurable WDM network
