Abstract :
This paper presents a new methodology to automatically generate service dependency models. It strives to enable more comprehensive IT-management by providing an always up-to-date information basis about interdependencies of IT-services and other management objects like services applications and network components. The approach specialty aims for heterogeneous environments as found in large enterprises and outsourcing scenarios. It comes with an agent based implementation architecture allowing its smooth integration into existing IT-infrastructures
