Abstract
Self-similarity of scale-free networks and volume-dimension are given based on the concept of fractal. The reason and the course of self-similarity networks formed and these three statistics characters of complex networks are discussed and analyzed in detail in this paper; besides, the concept of self-similarity groups is defined firstly. We propose that different local networks can be covered with different edges of box to reveal the self-similarity of special scale-free networks. Both theoretical analyses and simulation results are the evolution and characters more exactly for many scale-free networks of the real world.
