Abstract :
The problem of coupling between two semi-infinite and flangeless rectangular waveguides, placed at arbitrarily angles with respect to each other, is investigated numerically using the moment method. The integral equation for the induced current is expressed in terms of incident, reflected, transmitted and evanescent currents on the waveguide walls. This is solved numerically by Galerkin´s method with rooftop basis functions. The results obtained demonstrate the extent of coupling for different separations and frequencies between two X-band waveguides. The results obtained are also compared with experiment
