Abstract :
This paper considers a file sharing system in a wireless Mesh network. To deal with, we apply opportunistic random linear network coding to develop an efficient file sharing mechanism. Within this mechanism, every node transmits random linear combination of its packets according to its priority which is computed in a distributed manner according to its possible contribution to other nodes. We show through extensive simulation that with our mechanism, the nodes can share the entire file, in the network, with minimum transmissions times and delay comparing to the current transmission process in wireless mesh network without random linear network.
