Abstract :
Recently, a lot of research on robotic manipulators with different actuators has been conducted, but manipulators incorporated with air cylinders mounted on air actuators have not been discussed in depth. Presently, the electric driven actuator is widely used, however it has a serious drawback of being incapable of providing sufficient power. Whereas, the air actuator by contrast readily yields power; the air actuator finds the most extensive application in air cylinders. Unlike hydraulic cylinders, the controllability of air cylinders is very difficult. Hence, a computer was used to ease the controllability of the piston cylinder thrust and piston rod stroke. For this purpose, a simple a cylinder was constructed experimentally with an aim to putting it into practical use
