Abstract
Recently, wireless LAN is often applied at home or in office for several convenience merits. Frequency band of wireless LAN is 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz which are specified IEEE 802.11a and IEEE 802.11b. Wireless LAN environment in office has reflected waves that are caused by walls, ceilings, floors, and desks. It creates multi-path problems. Which reduce communication speed and lose data. To solve these problems, using EM wave absorber can be used in wireless LAN environment. EM wave absorber is a special material that can absorb unwanted EM wave and transfer to heat energy. In this paper we fabricated EM wave absorber which has absorption ability of over 20 dB and thickness of less than 3.5 mm for improvement of wireless LAN environment.
