Abstract :
In a wireless Ad Hoc network, the node energy is often supplied by battery with limited capacity. Power control is an effective way to save energy and decrease collision in the Ad Hoc networks based on IEEE 802.11x. In this paper, we analyze the power control mechanisms and propose schemes to solve the asymmetric link problem. Simulation results demonstrate the system performance improvements in goodput, delay, and power consumption.
