Abstract :
Design principles of multilevel continuous pulse-width regulators for DC current based on step-up and step-down two-directional capacitor converters of resonance type are considered. Regulators have enhanced efficiency, small size, low harmonic distortion of input and output currents. In addition they have linear control and rigid external characteristics, and are capable of energy recuperation from load to primary line.
