Abstract
In this paper, we have investigated the near field and far field properties of the cylindrical cloak. The total fields are analyzed in detail with the constitutive parameters as tensors, which are defined through Pendry\´s model. Through the numerical examples we can see that "invisibility" can be basically realized. The result is valid, and it can be concluded that such cloaking can be realized theoretically at any frequency and any electric size. Therefore, the results are helpful for the analysis and design of the cylindrically cloak, meanwhile the comprehension of the physical mechanism in cloaking.
