Abstract :
This paper presents a two stage power conditioner (DC-DC converter and DC-AC inverter) connected to the grid. The proposed system has the advantage of generating low input current ripple (less than 2%) which is an important factor for fuel cell applications. Moreover, the design power condition has the feature of high efficiency and achieving unity power factor on the grid side. Through this paper, the small signal analysis for the used converter has been analyzed and based on it the stability of the system is designed using MPPT control. Then, a test model of 1kw PEM fuel cell as been connected with the proposed power conditioner system into the grid and its performance has been tested using PSIM simulation.
