Abstract :
A novel approach to enhance the dipole antenna performances by using so-called an ends-fed dipole radiator is presented. Since the area around the radiating arms is free of any conductors, the proposed radiator is very good candidate to create the high polarization purity of radiation. The simulated results have revealed that such a radiator is able to achieve a high polarization purity with enhanced up to 12 dB front-to-back ratio without decreasing the bandwidth.
