Abstract
A novel waveguide-fed dipole-like antenna is based on the method of moments and induced electromotive forces. Practical application is illustrated through the numerical and experimental investigations of the antenna. To excite the arms of an antenna the two equi-magnitude π out-of phase excitations are created by using the standard WR-430 waveguide. Since the area around the radiating arms is free of any conductors (with the exception of an infinite ground plane), the proposed antenna is a good candidate to create the high polarization purity of radiation. Such an antenna may be used as the building block in the design of any E-arrayed arrays as well as the standalone radiators.
