  • Abstract
The advanced deployment of wireless networks and the increasing popularity of mobile devices, in conjunction with RFID technology, are going to enhance our life style. There are some limitations exist in traditional exhibition environment: (1) mobile guide only acts as a multimedia information query device, and visitors can not get customized services to make their tours more interesting and convenient; (2) it´s difficult for exhibitors to get visitors suggestions and valuable visitors information to establish business relationship, and analyze which kind of people are interested in their items on display and so on; (3) in large outdoor exhibitions, bus calling service is not provided, which may cause visitors spend a long time waiting for a bus while buses move along fixed route and stop at every stop even no passenger alights in several stops. In this paper, we proposed a framework for building a context-aware smart exhibition environment. Supporting for acquiring, representing, aggregating, interpreting and accessing various contexts, this framework provides customized services to make visitors´ tours more convenient and interesting.
