Abstract :
Two kinds of winding structure of switched reluctance rotors (SRMs) based on the three-phase bridge converter are presented and analyzed. The first kind is that all the windings are wound in the same direction, which guarantees the current direction of the two neighboring phases reverse when the two phases are excited simultaneously. It is understandable that the polarity of a polar is opposite to the neighboring one, and most of the fluxes link these two poles, thus the flux path is short. Unlike this winding structure, it is optional to wind the adjacent winding with different direction, and the flux linking both of the neighboring poles would be rare, and the flux path is long. In this paper, finite-element model of SRM is set up to analyze both of the configurations. The distribution of magnetic field is compared, and the electromagnetic torque is presented, as well as the inductances.
