Preface

The 16th Symposium on Computer Architectures & Digital Systems (CADS 2012) was held from 2-3 May, 2012 in Shiraz, Iran. We have organized CADS 2012 with the ambition to respond to the needs and aspirations of our community in the region, to promote excellence among its members and to foster links to the rest of the world. We have tried to offer a rich scientific program of high quality with invited speakers from all over the world and provided a broad forum of exchange for both academia and industry. The symposium covers the entire scope of Computer Architecture, and Digital systems. The technical program committee chairs have prepared a truly excellent technical program and together with a large number of reviewers selected in a very short time 32 papers being presented in CADS 2012. These papers selected meticulously among around 100 submitted papers from USA, Canada, Netherlands, Japan, Romania, India, Malaysia, Iraq, and Iran. CADS also features four specially invited plenary sessions addressing current issues in the state-of-the-art topics in the scope of the symposium.
