Abstract :
The paper describes results obtained by applying the Wigner-Ville distribution to high frequency line-of-sight radar measurements of a theatre ballistic missile during powered flight. The Wigner-Ville distribution is able to discriminate between target and interfering transient events and to accurately determine the instantaneous Doppler law of the target. It is a useful pre-processing step for determining the instantaneous received signal level and the coherent processing loss due to target acceleration
