Abstract
We review recent research and development activities at Corning Incorporated on new specialty fibers such as single polarization fiber, nonlinear fiber, high power laser fiber, microstructured fiber and high numerical aperture fiber. We discuss fiber design concepts and present both modeling and experimental results
